Welcome back, old friend.

by on Oct.31, 2017, under Blog

It’s been a while. A good friend of mine recently sparked my interest once again in blogging and talking about life. I doubt anyone will read this, but hey, if my posts from 2010 are still around, then I guess I might as well touch this every now and then. It’s fun to look back at old posts and say to myself “wow, this was me?” and then smile, because a lot of your past self is what you like to keep. At least that is my experience.

Oddly, not much has changed. I am still in the same spot doing similar technical work, but on a larger scale. Instead of doing in-home service repairs and such, I now work for a Fortune 500 company that may be shuttering it’s doors soon. I am kind of in this mindset that I am going to go down with the sinking ship, but I might be kicked off the ship before that can happen.

There have been a few times where I really just wanted to rant about something that didn’t matter to any one person in particular, but it might matter to someone. Thankfully I was able to restore this backup which should allow me to rant and rave all I need to. I’m going to try to post a ton of music, video game, and technical things in general from here on out. Let’s see if I can keep it up. It shouldn’t be an issue, I have a plethora of things to talk about. Just a fair warning, all of the posts from a few years back on here may not work properly due to some WordPress changes in the last six years..

FixIt Computer Repair Goes Advertising, and also wants to say Thanks!

by on Jan.27, 2010, under Blog

Alright, well since this is a small business I figure it is time to really get the word out to all of the people who need their computers repaired and they don’t know who to call. I am going to be starting my first ever true ad campaign this weekend!

When I say this weekend, I mean mainly because it is going to be a once a week deal in my local Church’s bulletin! My parents and friends all thought that it was a great place to start out, and since my budget is really low starting with something such as that really is a great place to start!

So thank you to all my current customers for giving me the courage to pursue a dream, and thank you to all of my friends and family who have supported me through the madness that is starting a business. You have all been great!

FixIt Repair Church AdThat is the ad that everyone should look for! If you see it in the bulletin and you are here, that is awesome! Thank you so much for visiting! I can’t wait to help you out as much as I can!

I have a few shoutouts, as cliche as this might be, just because I feel like there are a few people I should thank for getting me moving.

My Parents

My parents have been with me all my life, obviously, and they have helped me through everything possible. They have always supported me and told me that I could literally do anything I wanted as long as I put my mind to it, and as cliche as that is, it’s true. Thanks Mom and Dad, you guys really got me where I am today!

My Sisters

My two sisters have always been worried about me. Anything I do, there they are around the corner worrying about something that I might have done wrong. They have always led me in the right path and have never done anything to stop me from where I am going. I have always trusted them and been as close to them as possible, thanks guys. See you soon!

The name above might seem a little bit weird, but that is because it is a link to my buddy Brian’s blog, who I have known since elementary school has been a great help through everything. He is majoring at Bryant University as a Business Major, and his knowledge about the business side of things really opened my doors. He pretty much got me started as soon as I got my A+ Certification, and he has always told me to keep working at what I am doing and I will one day have an extremely solid business. Thanks Bri, you mean a lot to me.

My Girlfriend

Okay okay, all of you people out there hating on the girlfriend.. I have been with mine for 3 years now and she has always been the one to tell me to “Go do it!” or “Get to work!” or even “Get to class you bum!” She has really been the only one to yell at me to get me moving, and never stressed me about anything either, which is a rare combination I think. Thanks a hun for keeping me going, I won’t stop, promise.

And to everyone I didn’t mention, thank you, too. You have all been so great to me. So my first advertisement is dedicated to you all! Thanks and keep having a great 2010!!
